Ever since childhood, Anna has loved dancing. Born and raised in Shanghai China, she often joined school folk dancing performances and began studying ballet in high school.

After immigrating to the US, she continued taking dance classes in college, including ballet, modern, and character dance. Anna was first introduced to Flamenco in Bloomington Indiana where her initial training in the dance began. She later studied Flamenco with Nélida Tirado and José Molina in New York City.

In 2024, Anna joined Flamenco Passion Texas and enjoyed further study with Jhon Molina “El Niño”. Flamenco has become one of her most beloved forms of dancing.

To her, Flamenco, though contrasting to classical ballet in style, requires the same level of high expression and precise musicality.
